This piece is of the remnants of U.S. imperialism in the Caribbean, and the settler-colonial violence that has resulted from climate change. It focuses on the connection between the body to the environment that it inhabits. Climate change has caused an apocalyptic loss of habitable spaces across the spectrum of communities along the Carribean.
The human body has become casualties to an imperialist system tha does not take into consideration their survival after the catastrophi effects of natural disasters. These catastrophes have revealed how the haunting of past U.S. imperialist settler-colonial histories continues to affect the communities in the Caribbean.
